About the Office of Strategy & Program Development
Karen Mulder joined Tufts in September, 2015 after nearly 6 years as a Management Consultant with L.E.K. Consulting in Boston and a history of strong academic experiences. With exposure to over 30 companies on projects ranging from ancillary revenue generation/prioritization to drug screenings and consumer marketing to private equity transactions, Karen has a wide range of expertise that is transferrable to Tufts search for new revenue generating opportunities. Before her consulting days, Karen was a Fulbright fellow in Goettingen Germany and graduated summa cum laude from Boston College with a B.A. in History in 2008. Her senior thesis on contemporary German memory of the Holocaust remains her proudest accomplishment. When she is not learning everything she can about how a complex, world-class University succeeds, she enjoys ballet, hiking, pretending she can still speak German, and trying to control the proliferation of books brought on by being married to a PhD student.
Jennifer de Ridder
Jennifer de Ridder joined Tufts’ Office of Strategy & Program Development team in 2017. Prior to Tufts, Jennifer was an Engagement Manager at Censeo Consulting Group, a Washington DC-based management consulting firm focused on strengthening the operational capabilities of mission-driven organizations. At Censeo, Jennifer led multiple projects to help top-tier higher education and large federal government institutions improve organizational and operational effectiveness to allow them to devote more resources to their core missions. Jennifer graduated magna cum laude from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School with a B.S. in Economics. Outside of work, you can find Jennifer rehearsing with her dance company, practicing yoga, or enjoying the great outdoors while hiking or camping.
Austin Fuller joined the Office of Strategy & Program Development team in 2018. Prior to Tufts, he spent the last 6 years working in nonprofit finance and operations. Most recently, he was an Assistant Director at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a comprehensive cancer treatment and research center in Boston, MA. At Dana-Farber, Austin led the financial analysis function for the Department of Development and the Jimmy Fund. Austin is a graduate of UMass-Amherst with a B.S. in Sport Management, and UMass-Boston with an MBA. Outside of work, Austin enjoys kayaking and hiking with his dog Griffin.
