In today’s socio-economic and political environment, higher education is being challenged to be creative in how it financially supports the opportunities it wants to provide for its students, faculty, staff, and broader community. Tufts, with its tremendous talent is up to this task.
Universities across the country are already successfully implementing non-traditional ways of generating revenue for their institutions. There are numerous examples of such entrepreneurship at Tufts University as well, however, we recognize it can be difficult to give core programs and efforts the attention they require while also building new opportunities.
The Office of Business Development was founded in September 2015 to support each of Tufts’ schools and functional areas in the strategic thinking and analysis required to bring new, financially beneficial ideas to life. The goal being to help each School and the University overall to begin to strategically develop new sources of revenue to enable the many academic goals we all have for our beloved University.
You can be a part of this effort here at Tufts.
Any member of the Tufts community can submit an idea! Faculty, Staff, Students, Alumni, Parents … we welcome your participation.
