The objective of the Tufts University Risk and Compliance Committee is to provide leadership and support in promoting a culture of institutional compliance with regulatory matters. Committee meetings are used by University managers to inform the Committee of any significant new or challenging regulatory requirements that require executive attention and of any matters that if uncorrected, could result in fines or penalties. The Committee also provides input concerning university-wide policies that addressed regulatory compliance obligations. The Committee also designates certain of its meetings to review risks identified in the University Risk Register and consider the effectiveness of activities used to manage them.

Committee Membership includes the Provost and Senior Vice President, Vice Provost for Research, Associate Provost for Institutional Research and Evaluation, Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President for University Relations, Senior Vice President for University Advancement, Vice President for Finance and Treasurer, Vice President for Human Resources, Vice President for Operations, Vice President & Chief Information Officer, Senior Legal Counsel (both individuals), Executive Director of Audit & Management Advisory Services, EAD representative on a school-rotating basis, and other individuals as topics dictate.
