EthicsPoint Anonymous Reporting
Dear faculty and staff,
I am writing to you as a reminder of the confidential reporting system, EthicsPoint, that Tufts University has established. This system enables faculty and staff to anonymously report suspected fraud, non-compliance with policies and regulations, safety issues, threatening behavior, conflicts of interest and suspected incidents of discrimination or sexual harassment.
Tufts is committed to promoting ethical conduct in the workplace and the university continues to maintain a commendable record, indicative of the integrity of its faculty and staff. However, we recognize that if fraudulent acts, violations of policies and regulations, issues pertaining to workplace safety or inappropriate behaviors are suspected, members of our community may feel uncomfortable discussing them with their colleagues or supervisors. Instead, they may wish to report these matters anonymously.
For this reason, the university has an agreement with NAVEX Global-EthicsPoint, to provide a Tufts University website and phone center for individuals to report their concerns. The EthicsPoint reporting option is designed to ensure that communications remain confidential. EthicsPoint will report to Tufts only the situation described and not the name or internet protocol (IP) address of the individual using its system, unless the individual chooses to disclose their identity. Each submitted report is referred to a qualified, designated administrator(s) at Tufts for follow-up.
EthicsPoint may be accessed using the web via links located on several Tufts University websites, including AccessTufts, Audit & Management Advisory Services, the Finance Division ‘Fraud Reporting Hotline’, University Police ‘Report Crime’, and the Office of Equal Opportunity ‘Report Misconduct On-line’. EthicsPoint may also be accessed at www.ethicspoint.com by selecting ‘Tufts University’ and then following the prompts to select the appropriate campus area and reporting category. Telephone access is also available by calling NAVEX Global-EthicsPoint toll-free: 1-(866)-384-4277.
Sincerely,
Michael W. Howard, Executive Vice President
